When creating and posting your vacancy the system allows you to hide your salary from potential applicants. We would generally advise showing the salary as research has shown the applicant response can be 25% higher when the salary is displayed, however we do understand customers like the option to hide the salary for particular roles.
When creating a vacancy the system will ask you a "From" and "To" salary plus a "Salary Description". These boxes have different functions depending on the job boards you are posting to.
We would advise entering your salary/wage rate range in the "From" and "To" sections even if you wish for your salary to be hidden. The range is used in the background on job boards when an applicant uses the salary filters. This allows your vacancy to be visible when relevant to the applicant's search. Please do not use currency signs or commas in this box just numbers.
In the "Salary Description" box enter your salary as you would like it to be shown to the applicant e.g:
- £9 - £11 per hour
- £22,000 - £25,000 per annum
If you do not want your salary to be shown you can enter phrases such as:
- Dependent on experience
If you are posting your vacancy to Monster or CV Library you will need to confirm you wish to hide the salary when on the posting page for each board, please see below:
Tick the "Hide the Salary" box
Choose "Yes" in the "Hide the Salary" box
